Do you need a website for ClickFunnels?
The answer is No!!!!
But you can build a website with clickfunnels. What I meant is that with your clickfunnels account, you can create your own simple website inside the software easier and faster.
Building a website without clickfunnels is distracting, why? Because it contains too much information leaving the readers more confused. But building a website with clickfunnels will end up to be an effective sales funnel that will close more sales than a normal website would.
So, clickfunnels is an easy to use software that business owners should use instead of a traditional website to sell their products and services.
I am not saying clickfunnels will replace a website but it will outperform it. When creating a Funnel, you don’t have to buy a domain, pay hosting fees, plan web pages or even do development work. Just like in a normal website, funnels consist of web pages, forms, checkout and fulfilment processes. The purpose of clickfunnels is to give business owners more value than they would get from a normal website, without putting more work to build a website.
If you can understand the importance of taking people through the steps of the sales funnel, you will see that there is no better way to sell products online. One thing good about creating websites with clickfunnels is that the interface allows you to easily and effectively create your funnel through tested and trusted templates depending on your industry, product and value ladder.
So today, I will be holding you by the hand and taking you through the steps of building your own website with clickfunnels in a very simple process.
Sit tight!!!!!
The method this works is that you have to imagine each step in your funnel as a page. To be honest, you are building a sales funnel website and you are trying to turn it into a general website instead of a sales funnel. It is just like a ClickFunnels landing page but built out with some tricks to be a whole website.
Here are the 9 steps of building a website with clickfunnels.

Step #2 LOAD THE FUNNEL
A very big shoutout to Mike Lazarus who created the clickfunnels templates that allow us to build a classic website with clickfunnels easily. Using the share funnel feature in ClickFunnels you can load his funnel or anyone’s funnel into your own clickfunnels account.
That way, you can easily use it as a template for your own website. This is how to archive that.
- Login into your clickfunnels account
- Select the funnel and then click on the settings
- Copy and share the funnel URL
- To clone the funnel, click on settings
- Click on clone funnel
- The funnel will now be displayed on your funnel dashboard as a copy.
- After your new share funnel has been added to your account, click on view funnel or the name of the funnel from the dashboard to access it.
- Click on the edit page for each page to customize.
Step #3 ADD IT TO YOUR DOMAIN
Now you have the funnel loaded, the next thing to do is to add the funnel to your own domain. If you have a domain name already that you want to use for your website, you can simply go to settings>Domain. Then add it to your domain and scroll down and save.
But if not, you will have to click on your photo in the upper right corner of the screen and then go down to Domains. It is going to work you through the process of getting your own domain and it is free.
Step #4 NAME YOUR PAGE
If you click a page in the left column, you are going to see a gear icon. That’s the settings, click on that to open the window where you can name your page. The home page, you will call it “home” in the path field and then hit update.
When being previewed, you will see that it is called yourdomain.com/home. You can go ahead and name all your pages with the same process.
Step #5 ADD NEW PAGES
How to do that, click on the “Add New Step” button to create another page.
Why step?
Clickfunnels is a Funnel builder, so it says “step” instead of “page” but with the same function.
Step #6 CREATE YOUR MENU
Once your pages are being created you have to set up a menu for easy navigation in your website. The menu will be automatically created for you if you are creating a normal website, but since we are using clickfunnels, you have to do it manually.
- Click on the top menu bar on the homepage and you will see a little pencil icon next to each menu link.
- Click on one of the pencil icon and edit the link, replace it with your new page.
- Okay right now, the links are set up as section anchors, but you can just replace that with your new page URL and change the text to match your page name.
- Now you have to save the header by hovering until you get the little green menu at the top right (the third button down is save). Name it something that makes sense, why? You will need to access it in the next step.
Step #7 ADD THE MENU TO ALL PAGES
Now you are done creating your menu on your home page. It is advisable to add it to each of your other pages. Goto each of your pages, you will find out that there is no header set up on them. So, you have to hover over “sections” at the top and then click “Add section” then click on “my sections” and find the menu that you save in the drop down that comes up.
If you have done that, the menu will automatically be added to the top of that page.
Do the same to all your pages. If you duplicate it right on every of your pages, you have got yourself a classic and simple website inside clickfunnels.
Congratulations on your progress so far….
Step #8 REDIRECT YOUR DOMAIN TO YOUR HOME PAGE
You have to choose what pops up when your domain is being clicked on. So on doing that, you click on your picture in the top right of the screen and go down to “Domain” then click “edit” next to your domain that comes up in the list. Now you have to select the funnel you just created, from the list that pops up and hit save. This means when someone visits yourdomain.com, it will direct them to your home page of your sales funnel.
Step #9 PERSONALIZE YOUR PAGES
After you have set up everything, you have to go through each page to personalize them so they look the way you want them to look.
These are few things you can put in place.
Change out the image and the text
Remove or add entire sections if you want
Add your products
Add your YouTube videos
Customize your page and so on………….
CONCLUSION
This is the easiest way to build a simple website with clickfunnels and still convert more sales than ever.
